Instant Pot Corn on the Cob

Instant Pot Corn on the Cob cooks fresh corn ears quickly and evenly using steam pressure to produce tender, juicy kernels. This method frees you from boiling pots of water and allows easy, hands-off cooking. The cooked corn can be served with a variety of toppings like butter, salt, pepper, or favorite sauces for a simple side or snack.

Description

This recipe uses an Instant Pot to pressure cook corn on the cob after removing husks and silk. A cup of cold water is added to the pot along with a trivet to hold the four ears of corn above the water level. The lid is sealed and set to cook at high pressure for 1 to 2 minutes. Using quick release, the pressure is released instantly, preserving the tender texture without overcooking.

The resulting corn comes off the cob easily and offers juicy, sweet flavor with a tender bite. Because it’s pressure cooked rather than boiled, the kernels retain their natural sweetness well. This method is efficient and convenient for fresh corn when stovetop space is limited.

Serve immediately with melted butter, salt, black pepper, or other seasonings and sauces to complement the natural corn flavor. It makes a straightforward side for barbecues, casual meals, or anytime fresh corn is in season.

No detailed storage or reheating instructions are provided but cooked corn is best enjoyed fresh for optimal texture.
