Instant Pot Spaghetti
Description
The recipe starts by sautéing ground beef with diced onions and minced garlic directly in the pressure cooker until the meat is nearly cooked and onions are translucent. Excess fat is drained to reduce greasiness. Spaghetti noodles are then broken into thirds and layered evenly over the beef without stirring, followed by pouring spaghetti sauce, petite diced tomatoes, and water on top.
Cooking under pressure for 8 minutes allows the pasta to cook through while absorbing the sauces' flavors without sticking together due to careful layering. Quick releasing the pressure lets you stir before serving, producing a hearty, tomato-rich spaghetti dish with tender noodles and flavorful ground meat throughout.
This recipe can be adapted by leaving out the meat, substituting ground turkey or chicken, skipping diced tomatoes, or adjusting cooking time for preferred noodle firmness. Serving with a side salad or garlic bread complements the meal. The use of the Instant Pot reduces cleanup and integrates multiple steps into one pot.
For thicker sauce, the sauté function can be used after pressure cooking to simmer away excess liquid. Arranging the noodles in alternating directions helps prevent them from sticking together during cooking.

- Cooking times can be adjusted: 6 minutes for al dente or 8 minutes for softer noodles.
