Description
This recipe uses lean ground beef browned in the Instant Pot using the sauté function, coated with taco seasoning and chunky salsa, then pressure cooked on manual high for 10 minutes. After cooking, the pressure is released, and the meat is ready to serve. Draining excess liquid is optional depending on preference.
The combination of salsa and taco seasoning infuses the beef with layered spiced and tangy flavors, while pressure cooking tenderizes the meat and melds the seasonings. This method saves time compared to stovetop simmering.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef lean
- 16 ounces salsa chunky
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
Instructions
- Add ground beef to instant pot or other pressure cooker and set to the "saute" function. Brown for 4-5 minutes.
- Sprinkle meat with taco seasoning and add salsa, stir to coat.
- Set to manual high pressure for 10 minutes.
- Release pressure valve and you are ready to serve!
- Drain, if necessary or use a slotted spoon to remove meat.
