Instant Pot Tortellini in 20 Minutes

This Instant Pot Tortellini combines frozen cheese tortellini with garlic, marinara sauce, and broth, cooked under high pressure for just 2 minutes. After quick release, fresh spinach and heavy cream are stirred in, creating a creamy and saucy pasta dish finished with Parmesan, basil, and optional chili flakes. It’s a quick and comforting meal with tender tortellini and a flavorful sauce.

Description

The recipe uses frozen cheese tortellini directly in the Instant Pot with garlic, marinara sauce, and broth for cooking. The pressure-cooking method softens the pasta quickly while infusing flavor. Mixing in baby spinach and heavy cream after cooking adds freshness and a creamy texture. Garnishes of freshly grated Parmesan, basil leaves, and optional red chili flakes contribute savory, herbal, and spicy notes.

This makes a rich and hearty pasta dish that can serve as a main course. The spinach adds a healthy touch, while the creamy sauce complements the cheese-filled tortellini.

Frozen tortellini can be used without defrosting. Additional vegetables such as green peas, broccoli, or asparagus can be added according to preference for variation in texture and flavor.
