Instant Pot Turnips

Perfectly cooked instant pot turnips. Using the instant pot pressure cooker, we are going to show you an easy method to pressure cook turnips.

Ingredients

  • 7 turnip medium size
  • 1 Tsp dried herbs
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • 2 Tsp butter optional

  • Steamer basket

Instructions

  1. Let’s get cooking turnip! Place 1.5 cups (360ml) of water into your instant pot. Then add your steamer basket ready for loading up with turnips.
  2. Next peel and dice your turnip into medium cubes and load them into the steamer basket.
  3. Season the turnips with salt and pepper and some mixed herbs and then add the lid, set the valve to sealing and pressure cook turnip for 3 minutes followed by a quick pressure release.
  4. Do a fork test to make sure the instant pot turnips are soft.
  5. Transfer the turnips to a serving dish and season with extra salt and pepper and little portions of butter.

Notes

  • Liquid. If I am just steaming turnips I don’t bother with any instant pot veggie stock and just use water.
