- ¾ cup extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ cup red wine vinegar or white wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon basil dried
- 1 teaspoon oregano dried
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon honey to taste (can substitute sugar, or more
- 1-2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese optional, grated
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a jar with a lid. Seal the lid tightly and shake vigorously until well combined. (You can also mix in a bowl with a whisk.)
- Use dressing immediately or store in the sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
- Make this homemade Italian dressing vegan by swapping the honey for sugar or maple syrup.
- Shaking everything together in a mason jar is the easiest and quickest way to make this dressing, but you can also whisk everything together in a bowl.
- Make it ahead of time. This will allow the flavors of the dried herbs to develop.
