Italian Green Beans
Description
This recipe involves tossing fresh, trimmed green beans in Italian seasoning and Italian salad dressing, then baking them at a high temperature to soften while keeping some bite. The process develops blended flavors with minimal effort. After an initial bake, grape tomato halves are added and baked briefly to warm through without overcooking. Finally, a sprinkle of shredded Parmesan cheese is added to provide a nutty, salty finish.
The result is green beans that are tender but not mushy, enhanced by the savory herb mix and tangy, slightly acidic dressing. Tomatoes soften gently, offering bursts of freshness, while Parmesan adds a satisfying savory layer. This simple side dish complements Italian-inspired meals or can serve as a standalone vegetable preparation.
Leftover beans store well in the refrigerator for up to five days in an airtight container, allowing for convenient make-ahead preparation or leftovers use.
