Ingredients

Servings
  • 8 pound bone in spiral cut ham
  • ½ cup butter unsalted
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 jalapeños diced, seeds and membranes removed
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes more to taste as desired for heat
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a large baking dish (9x13) with cooking spray.
  2. Add all ingredients for the glaze into a medium size saucepan and bring to a boil. Allow to simmer to reduce the sauce for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Place the ham in the dish and pour half of the glaze over the top. Reserve the other half of the glaze.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 1 and 1/2 hours. Then uncover the ham.
  5. Pour the remaining glaze over the ham, spreading the slices apart to get inside the slices as well.
  6. Increase the oven temperature to 400 degrees F.
  7. Bake the ham uncovered for another 15-20 minutes or until the glaze is caramelized.
  8. Transfer the ham to a serving plate. Spoon excess drippings over the top of the ham. Slice and serve while warm.
