Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese

The Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese sandwiches spicy jalapeño cream cheese mixture and sharp cheddar between thick slices of sourdough bread. The filling blends softened cream cheese, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, and parmesan cheese, creating a creamy, tangy, and mildly spicy spread. Grilled to a golden, crispy exterior with mayonnaise brushed on the outside, it delivers a satisfyingly crunchy texture contrasted by the melted cheeses inside.

Description

This grilled cheese starts by mixing softened cream cheese with diced jalapeños, garlic powder, and parmesan to create a flavorful filling. The mixture is spread over two slices of thick sourdough bread, which are then topped with sliced cheddar cheese and another slice to form the sandwiches. Brushing the outsides of the bread with mayonnaise before cooking adds a crisp, golden finish.

Cooking over low heat in a skillet allows the cheese to melt evenly without burning the bread. The result is a sandwich with crispy, buttery crusts enclosing a creamy, cheesy filling that carries a gentle heat from the jalapeños and a subtle sharpness from the parmesan and cheddar.

This grilled cheese is ideal as a snack or quick meal when a comforting but flavorful dish is desired. It pairs well with simple sides like a green salad, tomato soup, or fresh cut vegetables to balance its richness.
