Ingredients

Goulash:

  • 1 yellow onion medium
  • 1 red bell pepper medium
  • 4 ounce celeriac
  • 4 ounce butter
  • 2 teaspoon garlic minced, fresh
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 10 ounce crushed tomatoes
  • ¾ cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 32 ounce beef roast cut into 1/2 pieces, chunk
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Butter-Fried Cabbage:

  • 32 ounce green cabbage shredded
  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Measure out and prepare all of the ingredients. Chop the onion and red bell pepper.
  2. Add all of the ingredients for the goulash to a crock pot.
  3. Add in the seasonings. Cook for 8 hours on low.
  4. In a frying pan, add the butter and green cabbage until cabbage is tender and golden brown in color. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Serve the cooked goulash with the green cabbage. Enjoy!
