Knock You Naked Bars

The Knock You Naked Bars combine a buttery, chocolate chip cookie base with a rich peanut butter caramel topping and a final spooned layer of cookie dough baked until lightly golden. The texture contrasts between the soft cookie dough and the gooey caramel sauce enhanced by peanut butter create a decadent dessert bar. These bars bake in two stages to maintain distinct layers while ensuring the caramel topping melts into the base properly.

Description

Knock You Naked Bars start with a classic cookie dough prepared from a mixture of flour, baking soda, salt, softened butter, sugars, and vanilla, into which semi-sweet chocolate chips are folded. The dough is split, with half spread thin in a pan and baked briefly to form a sturdy cookie base. Meanwhile, a caramel sauce is prepared by melting caramels with evaporated milk, then mixing in peanut butter for richness.

The warm caramel is spread over the partially baked cookie base, then spoonfuls of the remaining cookie dough are dotted on top. Baking continues until the top dough is light golden and fully set, resulting in a layered bar combining chewy cookie and creamy caramel-peanut butter flavors.

This dessert is suited for sharing and makes a rich treat for gatherings or anytime sweetness is desired. The caramel sauce adds gooey complexity, while the chocolate chips provide bursts of chocolate flavor in every bite. Baking in stages ensures the bars hold together without the caramel oozing out excessively.
