lamb burgers

These lamb burgers are mini sliders made with ground lamb mixed with oregano and onion for seasoning. They are cooked as small patties and served on slider buns topped with a creamy tzatziki and feta sauce, along with grilled onions and fresh arugula. The combination offers a rich and savory flavor with a fresh, tangy sauce and peppery greens for balance. The grilled onions add a caramelized sweetness that complements the lamb well.

Description

The lamb burgers recipe combines ground lamb with grated onion, oregano, salt, and pepper to form small patties about 2.5 ounces each. After shaping, the patties are grilled or pan-fried until cooked through. Accompanying the burgers is a sauce combining tzatziki with crumbled feta cheese, adding a cool, creamy, and slightly salty element. Grilled onions cooked in olive oil until golden brown provide a sweet and soft texture component. The burgers are served on slider buns with a handful of fresh arugula for a peppery bite. This recipe is versatile enough to be made in advance and scaled to larger burger sizes if desired.

The modest spice blend and fresh ingredients make these lamb sliders suitable as a casual appetizer or main dish. They are ideal for gatherings where slider-sized portions are preferred. The inclusion of tzatziki sauce with feta ties the flavors back to Mediterranean profiles, creating a distinct balance between the richness of the lamb and the brightness of the toppings.

The recipe notes mention that the patties can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated until use. Homemade or store-bought tzatziki may be used depending on preference and availability. The recipe will yield about 4 larger burgers by adjusting portion sizes if preferred over sliders.
