  • 2 onion finely chopped, medium
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 ½ tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp saffron melted in 1 tbsp warm water, threads
  • ¼ tsp red chili powder
  • ¼ tsp ras el hanout
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 Coriander small bunch
  • ¾ cup dried apricot
  • ¾ cup prune pitted, dried
  • ½ cup almonds toasted, slivered
  • 3 cups water
