Lebanese Kafta Kebabs

Lebanese Kafta Kebabs blend ground beef with fresh herbs, spices, and a touch of soaked bread to create tender, flavorful kebabs. These oblong patties are grilled until cooked through, offering a rich mix of cumin, coriander, sumac, and warm spices balanced with garlic, onion, and green chilies. The moderate spice and layered seasoning make them ideal for a savory main course served alongside yogurt or garlic sauce that complements their robust profile.

Description

Lebanese Kafta Kebabs combine ground beef with an aromatic mixture of parsley, mint, onion, garlic, and green chilies, enhanced by a complex blend of spices including cumin, coriander, sumac, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, and garam masala. The addition of soaked sandwich bread and egg in the mix helps to bind the kebabs and keep them moist.

The kebabs are shaped into flat, oblong forms and grilled on a pan or outdoor grill for about 8 to 10 minutes, flipping occasionally. The grilling imparts a slightly charred exterior while keeping the center juicy and flavorful. This method melds all the textures and spices into well-integrated meat patties.

These kebabs can be served with garlic sauce or a yogurt dressing, which adds a cooling contrast to the spices. They suit meals that include fresh salads or flatbreads, making them a versatile grilled meat option for gatherings or family dinners.
