Left Over Steak Tacos Recipe

Left Over Steak Tacos offer a savory way to repurpose cooked steak with sautéed onion, mild zucchini, and a robust blend of spices. The mixture is simmered with tomato paste and broth to concentrate flavors before filling taco shells or tortillas. Including finely chopped vegetables helps balance the spiced meat, creating a hearty taco filling that makes good use of leftovers.

Description

This recipe takes leftover cooked steak, which is chopped into small pieces, then sautés it with diced onion and optional zucchini for mild vegetable flavor and texture. The mixture is seasoned with a bold blend of chili powder, cumin, coriander, oregano, garlic and onion powders, and cayenne pepper. Tomato paste and beef broth add depth and moisture.

Cooking the filling until most liquid evaporates concentrates flavor and aids easy taco assembly. The seasoned mixture fills your choice of taco shells or home-fried tortillas, creating a flavorful, textured street-taco style filling. Using leftover steak helps reduce waste and transforms cold meat into a warm meal.

Adjusting the spice levels or including different mild-flavored vegetables can tailor the filling. Chopped uniform pieces work best for filling tacos evenly.
