Ingredients
- 16 oz white button mushrooms stems removed and cleaned
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 3 tablespoons butter melted
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 2/3 cups White Cheddar Cheese grated
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 1/3 cups half-and-half cream
- 2/3 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Clean mushrooms and dry with a paper towel and remove stems. Set caps aside.
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, melted butter, salt, and pepper until thoroughly incorporated. Set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt 4 tablespoons butter and add minced garlic until fragrant. Add flour and whisk; cook until it turns golden. Stir the mixture while gradually adding half-and-half and Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens.
- Pour half of the Alfredo sauce into the bottom of the baking dish. Next, place mushroom caps on top, add the remaining sauce, and then the white cheddar cheese.
- Top with breadcrumb mixture and bake for 10 minutes. Set the oven to broil and broil until golden brown. Garnish with fresh parsley.
