Margarita Pizza

Margarita Pizza is prepared with a homemade dough base topped with a sauce made from peeled, chopped vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh oregano, garlic, and olive oil. Slices of buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil leaves are layered on top. The pizza is baked at a high temperature until the cheese bubbles and the crust is golden, yielding a fresh, simple, and vibrant pizza.

Description

This Margarita Pizza recipe focuses on assembling a fresh tomato sauce comprising peeled tomatoes mixed with fresh oregano, chopped garlic, olive oil, and seasoning. The homemade dough is rolled out into a circle, leaving a border for the crust. The tomato mixture is spread evenly over the dough, followed by slices of buffalo mozzarella cheese and fresh basil leaves. A drizzle of olive oil tops the pizza before baking at 450 degrees until the cheese is bubbly and the crust slightly browned.

The pizza offers a combination of soft, slightly chewy dough with a bright tomato sauce and creamy mozzarella, accented by aromatic basil. The high-temperature bake melts the cheese to a creamy texture and crisps the crust’s edges. This pizza works well as a light meal or part of a casual lunch or dinner.
