Marinated Chicken Drumsticks with Honey, Garlic & Soy Sauce
Description
This recipe begins with a marinade blending garlic, chili pepper, ginger, soy sauce, and neutral oil, which is processed into a smooth liquid to coat the chicken drumsticks evenly. The drumsticks then marinate for at least an hour in the refrigerator to absorb these flavors. Baking at 375°F for 50 to 60 minutes cooks the meat thoroughly, rendering it tender and flavorful.
The accompanying sauce mixes soy sauce with vinegar, lemon juice, honey, chopped chili, ginger, garlic, and green onion, combining salty, sour, sweet, and spicy elements. The rice is boiled separately in salted water, providing a neutral base that complements the strong flavors of the chicken and sauce.
Plating involves serving the drumsticks with the steamed rice and either drizzling the sauce on the chicken or using it as a dipping sauce. Garnishes like extra green onion or chili slices add freshness and visual contrast to the dish.
