Marinated Chicken In Air Fryer

Let’s cook marinated chicken in air fryer. We have put together 7 different, yet all delicious marinades for the air fryer that are perfect for any protein (not just chicken).

Ingredients
For one batch of chicken marinade
- 4 chicken breast medium
1 – Coriander/Cilantro Lime
- 2 Tbsp lime juice
- 3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 Tbsp honey clear
- 1 Tsp Garlic puree
- 2 Tbsp Coriander finely chopped, fresh; aka cilantro
- salt
- black pepper
2 – Curry Yoghurt
- 1 Tsp Garlic puree
- 1 Tsp ginger puree
- 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 Tbsp Greek yoghurt
- 2 Tsp curry powder mild
- 1 Tsp Turmeric ground
- 1 Tsp cumin ground
- 1 Tsp coriander leaf dried; aka cilantro leaf
- salt
- black pepper
3 – Greek Kebabs
- 2 Tsp Garlic puree
- 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 Tbsp Greek yoghurt
- 2 Tsp oregano dried
- salt
- black pepper
4 – Hawaiian Summer
- 2 Tbsp pineapple juice
- 2 Tbsp barbecue sauce
- 1 Tbsp tomato ketchup
- lime juice and finely grated zest of 1
- 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Tsp Garlic puree
- 1 Tsp ginger puree
- 1 Tsp cumin ground
- 1 Tsp smoked paprika
- salt
- black pepper
5 – Honey & Garlic
- 1 Tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 Tsp Garlic puree
- 100 g honey clear
- ¼ Tsp parsley dried
- salt
- black pepper
6 – Moroccan Spice
- 1 Tsp Garlic puree
- 1 Tsp ginger puree
- 2 Tsp tomato puree or tomato paste
- 1 Tsp harissa paste
- 4 Tbsp passata
- 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Tsp coriander leaf dried; aka cilantro leaf
- 1 Tsp cumin ground
- 1 Tsp smoked paprika
- ¼ Tsp ground cinnamon
- salt
- black pepper
7 – Sweet Chilli
- 240 g sweet chilli sauce
- 1 Tsp Garlic puree
- 1 Tsp ginger puree
- 2 Tsp soy sauce
- ¼ red Bell Pepper/Capsicum, Finely Chopped
- ½ Tsp five-spice powder Chinese
- salt
- black pepper
Instructions
- Use the ingredients from the chicken section and mix with 1 marinade. Or you can make 7* the marinades and then mix and match with 7* lots of protein.
- Bagging. If using a bag holder and zip loc bags place the marinade into the bag, shake it all about and seal. If saving for the freezer, label it up and freeze it flat.
- If preparing in the foil tray, add the marinade, mix in the chicken ingredients, fridge or freeze for later and then air fry when ready.
- If using the zip loc method, transfer the contents of the bag to a paper liner and air fry. Or if using the tray containers, when ready transfer to the air fryer.
- To air fry, set the temperature to 180c/360f and air fry for 15 minutes for small breasts, 20 minutes for medium and 25 minutes for large.
- Always perform an internal temperature of the chicken at the thickest part and make sure its 70c/160f or above before serving.
- Then slice your chicken and its ready for enjoying.
Notes
- Mix and Match. Make these air fryer marinated chicken your own and mix and match. We find that 1 batch of marinade will do 4 chicken breasts, but it can also do a pack of chicken thighs, or drumsticks, or salmon and any other you would normally add marinade to.
- Please note These chicken marinades was tested in our Ninja Dual (its this one) and our air fryer baskets (these ones). Air fryers vary so adjust if necessary, depending on the quality of your air fryer. Or consult the temperature test on page 18 of The Complete Air Fryer Cookbook.
