Masala Omelette

This masala omelette blends eggs with finely chopped red onion, tomato, green chili, and a combination of spices including chili powder, turmeric, and salt for a flavorful, vibrant dish. Fresh coriander adds herbal notes. The mixture is cooked gently in butter until firm and served immediately, often alongside paratha, providing a comforting meal with hints of heat and earthiness.

Description

The Masala Omelette brings together eggs whisked with diced red onions, tomatoes, and green chilies, seasoned with chili powder, turmeric, and salt for color and heat. Fresh coriander adds freshness and aroma. Cooking the mixture in butter over low heat allows the omelette to set fully while retaining a moist texture.

The turmeric gives the omelette a warm golden hue, complemented by the spiced kick from chili powder and fresh chili. The vegetables provide mild sweetness and texture, balancing the spices. This omelette is cooked covered for a few minutes to ensure even cooking throughout.

Traditionally served hot with a side of paratha, it makes for a satisfying breakfast or light meal. The butter enriches the flavor while helping to cook the omelette gently, avoiding dryness and maintaining tenderness.
