Meatball Pasta Bake
Description
Ground beef is seasoned with breadcrumbs, milk, salt, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, diced onion, fresh parsley, and egg, then shaped into small meatballs and baked until cooked through. Meanwhile, spaghetti is boiled to just tender before being drained and tossed with olive oil to prevent sticking.
A combination of beaten egg, parsley, and part of the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese is mixed into the pasta, which is then layered in a casserole dish with meatballs and pasta sauce. The dish is first baked covered to warm through and set, then uncovered, topped with remaining cheeses, and baked further to melt and brown the cheese topping.
This dish can be served as a main course, offering a balanced combination of protein, carbs, and cheese. It works well for family meals or casual entertaining.
