Meatloaf Sandwich
Description
This Meatloaf Sandwich starts by reheating a slice of prepared meatloaf until warm. Butter is spread on one side of each bread slice to ensure a golden, crispy exterior when cooked in a skillet. The sandwich assembles by placing ketchup on the buttered bread side down, topped with cheddar cheese, the heated meatloaf slice, and a layer of yellow mustard before finishing with the second slice of bread, butter side up. Cooking on medium heat toasts the bread and melts the cheese, while warming the meatloaf filling through.
The result is a sandwich with a crispy, buttery crust and a moist, flavorful center. The cheddar adds creamy sharpness, and the ketchup and mustard introduce balanced sweetness and acidity. This sandwich provides a practical way to repurpose leftover meatloaf into a satisfying handheld meal.
