Mexican Fruit Cups
Description
This recipe assembles peeled and seeded fresh fruits—watermelon, cucumber, jicama, mango, papaya, and pineapple—into large spear-like pieces arranged vertically in disposable cups. The raw fruits provide a range of textures, from crisp cucumber and jicama to juicy sweet pineapple and mango. A squeeze of lime juice over the top adds citrus brightness and prevents browning.
The addition of Tajin seasoning brings a tangy and slightly spicy layer that enhances the natural sweetness of the fruits. Drizzling chamoy sauce introduces a subtle sweetness and sourness with a spicy kick, typical in traditional Mexican street-style fruit snacks.
These fruit cups serve well as a refreshing snack or light dessert. Preparing the spears and assembling in individual cups makes them portable and easy to serve at gatherings or as a street-food style treat.
