Michelada Recipe

The Michelada is a refreshing Mexican-style beer cocktail combining beer with a flavorful mix of tomato juice or Clamato, lime juice, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. The glass is rimmed with lime and Tajin seasoning to add a bright and spicy note. This mix of ingredients offers a tangy, slightly spicy, and savory flavor profile that complements the crispness of the beer, making it a popular refreshing beverage.

Description

This Michelada Recipe starts by preparing a beer glass rimmed with lime juice and coated in Tajin seasoning, lending a citrusy and mildly spicy crust that enhances each sip. The cocktail itself is built by filling the glass with ice, adding Clamato or tomato juice, lime juice, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce, then topping it with cold beer, preferably a light Mexican lager. The combination of tomato base and seasonings balances the beer's bitterness, creating a slightly tart, savory, and spicy drink.

The Michelada is commonly served as a cool, savory refreshment that can be enjoyed on its own or alongside spicy or fried foods. The mix of hot sauce and lime makes it a popular choice for those looking for a flavorful beer cocktail with a kick.

The amount of beer is adjustable depending on the glass size and personal taste. Typically, about half a regular beer bottle (6 ounces) is used here, but this can be varied to suit preference or serve size.
