Ingredients
- 2 medium apples cored
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons unsalted butter

Instructions
- Prepare the apples by coring them, making sure to leave the bottom intact to hold the filling.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spoon this mixture evenly into each cored apple.
- Top each apple with a teaspoon of butter. Place the apples in a microwave-safe dish and cover with a microwave-safe lid or plastic wrap with holes for ventilation.
- Microwave on high for about 4 to 5 minutes or until the apples are tender. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
