Mincemeat Loaf

Mincemeat Loaf combines eggs, sugar, melted butter, milk, and mincemeat with all-purpose flour and leavening agents to produce a moist sweet loaf. The batter is mixed smoothly, baked in a loaf pan, and finished with a cinnamon-ginger spiced glaze. This loaf offers a spiced, sweet flavor with soft texture contrasted by the sweet glaze.

Description

This Mincemeat Loaf recipe calls for beating eggs, sugar, and melted butter, then stirring in milk and mincemeat. Dry ingredients—flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt—are whisked and poured into the wet mix before stirring until combined. The batter is poured into a greased loaf pan and baked at 350°F for 50 to 60 minutes until tested done. After a 10-minute cooling period in the pan, the loaf is removed to cool fully on a wire rack.

A glaze made from powdered sugar, cream, cinnamon, and ginger is drizzled over the cooled loaf, adding sweet spice and moisture on top. The use of jarred mincemeat gives the loaf a distinctive fruity and spiced character. The baking process yields a tender crumb and classic loaf shape suitable for slicing.

This loaf pairs well with tea or coffee and can be served as a dessert or light snack. The glaze adds a finishing touch that balances the rich mincemeat flavor. The recipe’s straightforward method and standard baking temperature make it accessible for home bakers.
