Ingredients
- 1 cup diced Gala apple
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon honey or agave nectar
- 15 Athens mini fillo shells 1 package
- 1 ½ strips cooked bacon crumbled
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a medium sized bowl, stir together the apple, cinnamon and honey (or agave nectar) until the apples are coated. Gently stir in the Cheddar cheese.
- Place the fillo shells on a baking sheet, and spoon the apple mixture into the fillo shells, packing slightly.
- Sprinkle the bacon evenly over the apple mixture.
- Bake until the cheese is melted and the fillo shells are just starting to brown, 5 to 6 minutes. Serve.
