Ingredients
- 2 inch refrigerated pie crusts
- 5 large baking apples peeled, cored and coarsely chopped
- ⅓ cup Karo® Syrup
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1-1/2 tablespoons Argo® Corn Starch
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- pinch of salt
For the crumb topping:
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cut 4 6-inch rounds out of the pie crusts, and fit them into 4 5-inch mini pie dishes. Use a fork to crimp the edges, or use two hands to flute the edges of the pie crusts.
- In a large bowl, stir together the Karo® Syrup, butter, sugar, corn starch, cinnamon and salt. Pour over apples and stir to coat.
- Evenly divide the apples between the prepared pie crusts.
- Prepare the crumb topping by mixing the flour, brown sugar, salt and butter with a fork until crumbs form. Top each pie with crumb topping.
- Place mini apple pies on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Bake pies in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, until crusts are browned and apples are tender.
