Mini Chocolate M&M Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour 2 tbsp
- 2 ½ tbsp cocoa powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup butter softened, unsalted
- ½ cup white sugar
- ⅓ cup brown sugar 1 tablespoon
- 1 egg large
- ¾ tsp vanilla
- ¾ cup M&M's plus a few extra for after baking, mini
- ¼ cup mini chocolate chips plus a few extra for after baking
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a silpat mat or parchment paper.
- Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt into a bowl.
- Beat the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar with a hand mixer until creamy.
- Add the egg and vanilla; beat until creamy.
- Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture until combined. Add the mini M&M's and mini chocolate chips to the batter then stir to combine. Place into the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Form the cookie dough into teaspoon-sized balls and place on the prepared baking sheet, about 1 inch apart.
- Place into the oven and bake for 8 minutes or until the edges are crisp but the centers are still soft.
- Remove from the oven and immediately gently press a few mini M&M's & mini chocolate chips to the top of each cookie. Side Note: This is an optional step, but it does make the cookies look extra pretty.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to continue cooling. Serve with ice-cold milk. Enjoy!
