Mini Spring Rolls with Chicken Floss

Mini Spring Rolls with Chicken Floss are bite-sized, crispy fried snacks made by wrapping chicken floss in smaller pieces of spring roll wrappers, sealed with egg wash. The chicken floss inside provides a flavorful, slightly sweet filling with a delicate texture. These mini rolls fry to a golden crunch and are drained and cooled before storing. They make convenient finger foods or appetizers with a combination of crisp exterior and savory interior.

Description

These Mini Spring Rolls with Chicken Floss are prepared by cutting medium-sized spring roll wrappers into quarters and placing a teaspoon of chicken floss in the center of each. The wrappers are folded tightly, sealing the edges with beaten egg to prevent opening during frying. They are deep-fried in hot oil over medium heat until golden brown, around three to five minutes, resulting in crisp outside shells enclosing the fluffy, savory chicken floss filling. After frying, they are drained on paper towels to remove excess oil and can be cooled completely before storing in an airtight container to maintain their crispness.

These mini rolls are ideal for serving as small bites for gatherings or snacks. Their manageable size makes them easy to eat by hand, and the chicken floss filling offers a gentle umami flavor with a light sweetness distinctive of this ingredient, complementing the crispy fried wrapper.
