Mint Blackberry Lemonade (Limonada de Mora y Menta)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cane sugar pure
  • 5 cups water divided
  • 1 1/2 cups lemon juice
  • 3 cups blackberry
  • 2 tablespoons mint plus a few sprigs for garnish, packed, fresh

Instructions

  1. Place sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar has dissolved. Set aside to cool.
  2. Combine lemon juice, blackberries, and mint in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  3. Place sugar water mixture and remaining 4 cups water in a large pitcher. Stir in blackberry mixture, with or without running it through a strainer.
  4. Serve cold over ice and garnish with mint sprigs.
