Ingredients

Servings
  • ½ cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup peanut butter creamy
  • 2 egg room temperature, large
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups rolled oats old-fashioned
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • cup mini m&m candies
  • cup chocolate chips mini, semi-sweet

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Use a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment to beat ½ cup unsalted butter, ¼ cup granulated sugar, and ¾ cup light brown sugar together on medium-high speed for 3-4, until light and fluffy.
  3. Add ½ cup creamy peanut butter and mix until combined. Add 2 large eggs, and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract and mix again until combined. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed to make sure everything is fully incorporated.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 ½ cups old-fashioned rolled oats, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon baking powder, and 1 teaspoon baking soda.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined. Stir in ⅔ cup mini M&M candies and ⅔ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips by hand.
  6. Use a medium-sized cookie scoop to scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving at least 2 inches between them.
  7. Bake for 9-11 minutes but do not overbake them! They will look just set on the edges and a little doughy in the center.
  8. Remove them from the oven and allow them to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
