Moroccan Spiced Salmon with Lemon Yogurt Sauce

This Moroccan Spiced Salmon features skinless fillets coated in a blend of warm spices including coriander, cumin, paprika, and cinnamon, pan-seared until cooked through. Served with a tangy lemon yogurt sauce infused with garlic and fresh cilantro, it balances rich, spiced seafood with a cool, creamy accompaniment.

Description

Moroccan Spiced Salmon with Lemon Yogurt Sauce presents salmon fillets seasoned with a complex mix of spices such as ground coriander, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, nutmeg, and cayenne pepper. The spice rub creates an aromatic crust when the salmon is cooked in a skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat for about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Seasoned with salt and black pepper, the salmon develops a flavorful exterior while staying moist inside.

The accompanying lemon yogurt sauce combines Greek yogurt and heavy cream for creaminess, brightened by fresh lemon zest and juice, minced garlic, and finely minced cilantro. Lightly salted and peppered, the sauce cools and complements the warm, spiced salmon, adding a fresh, tangy contrast.

This dish suits a simple yet flavorful seafood dinner and can be garnished with additional cilantro for color and aroma. The sauce may be served at room temperature or gently warmed to avoid chilling the salmon. It offers a balance between robust spices and refreshing creaminess.
