Mozzarella Pasta Salad Recipe
Description
Mozzarella Pasta Salad starts by cooking orzo pasta and then cooling it completely to prevent wilting fresh ingredients. The pasta is combined with halved cherry or grape tomatoes, chunks of fresh mozzarella, and chopped basil, giving a mix of tender, juicy, and creamy textures. Garlic salt adds a mild savory boost, while olive oil coats the salad evenly and adds richness without overwhelming the fresh flavors.
Fresh basil is added just before serving to preserve its vibrant aroma and flavor. The salad offers a balanced taste through the interplay of creamy cheese, sweet tomatoes, herbaceous basil, and seasoned pasta. As a cold dish, it suits warm weather meals, potlucks, or as a side to grilled meats.
Ingredients
- 1 cup orzo pasta uncooked
- 6 oz mozzarella cheese fresh, balls
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes halved, or grape tomatoes
- garlic salt to taste, with parsley flakes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup basil fresh, chopped
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to the directions on the box. Drain and let cool.
- Add the pasta tomatoes, basil, and cheese to a large bowl. Mix

- Right before serving, add the fresh cut basil to the top and serve.
