Mussels Pasta With Garlic And Fennel
Description
This pasta dish combines cooked linguine with mussels that are sautéed alongside thinly sliced fennel, which lends a subtle anise-like sweetness. Garlic adds aromatic depth, and the cream sauce, enriched with Tuscan seasoning, salt, and pepper, creates a smooth, flavorful coating for the pasta and shellfish.
The mussels provide a delicate seafood brininess that complements the fragrant fennel and herbs. The cream softens the intensity and harmonizes the flavors, while parsley adds a fresh finish. Cooking the mussels from frozen with the other ingredients ensures they remain tender and fully cooked without overcooking the pasta.
This dish works well as a comfortable and flavorful seafood pasta meal offering a balance of creaminess, seafood richness, and herb-infused freshness.
If Tuscan seasoning is not available, oregano or thyme are suitable substitutes that maintain the herbaceous profile of the sauce. Any type of pasta on hand can be used in place of linguine.
