Ingredients
The Ninja Creami Delux machine
- 30 ounces (850g) canned pineapple two 15-ounce cans, including the liquid
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
The original machine
- 15 ounces (450g) canned pineapple including the liquid
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Add canned pineapple, including the liquid, and lemon juice to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour the blended base into an empty Ninja CREAMi container pint, cover, and freeze on a level surface in the freezer for 24 hours.
- Remove container from freezer, take off the lid, and place it in the Ninja CREAMi according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Select “sorbet” and let it process.
- When done, open and quickly stir the pineapple sorbet. If the mixture is not soft enough, you might need to add a splash or two of water and re-spin. Feel free to repeat until you reach the desired consistency.
Notes
- If you have bigger cans of pineapple, blend everything up, pour up to the fill line, and save the rest of the blended mixture in the fridge to add to yogurt and smoothies.
- Let it freeze for a full 24 hours. The sorbet base must be fully frozen to process correctly.
- If you are impatient like me, it’s a good idea to prep and freeze a couple of pints at a time. That way you don’t have to wait for your treat.
- Frozen treat not smooth enough? Use the re-spin function. And if it’s still not the right texture, simply add a splash of water or juice and re-spin again.
- Keep your favorite mix-ins stashed in the freezer so they’re frozen and ready to use when you add them.
- Make sure to freeze the pint on a level surface in the freezer.
- Be sure your machine is assembled correctly according to the manufacturer's directions before processing the sorbet.
- This is a great recipe to serve alongside any of these awesome pool party food ideas!
- Storage - keep in the freezer for up to a month.
- There is 1 WW Blue Plan SmartPoint in one serving of this.
