Ingredients

Servings
  • 16 donut holes any flavor, but golden brown in color
  • milk chocolate chips or light brown candy melts
  • Sprinkles various fall colored
  • nuts chopped

Instructions

  1. Using a microwave safe bowl, heat candy melts or milk chocolate chips in 15-20 second increments, stirring in-between. Continue to cook in the microwave until the candy is completely melted and smooth.
  2. Use your hands to gently squeeze your donut holes until they are no longer round, but more of an acorn shape.
  3. Dip the flat top of the acorn-shaped donut hole into the melted candy to create the cap of the acorn.
  4. While chocolate is still wet, add some fall colored sprinkles or chopped nuts.
  5. Push a pretzel piece into the top to create a "stem"
  6. Place on baking sheet. When all have been decorated, place the finished donut hole acorns in the fridge for at least of 30 minutes to set.
