No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies
Description
No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies blend quick oats with a chocolate mixture made from butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and Nutella. Heating the mixture until boiling, then stirring in oats and Nutella evenly coats the oats for a uniformly rich bite. After forming spoonfuls on parchment, chilling lets them firm up without baking, making it a convenient no-heat dessert. The cookies have a chewy texture boosted by the creamy Nutella and balanced sweetness from both white and brown sugars.
The cooling time in the refrigerator is key to solidify the cookies for easy handling. These cookies can be served as a quick dessert or snack, especially when oven use is impractical. The inclusion of Nutella adds a distinctive hazelnut-chocolate flavor that differentiates them from traditional no-bake cookies.
To customize, the oats mix well with nuts or dried fruit for texture variety, and toppings like coconut flakes or salt flakes can be added before chilling. These treats store best chilled in an airtight container for a few days.
