No Bake Christmas Wreath Cookies

No Bake Christmas Wreath Cookies combine toasted corn flakes with melted marshmallows tinted green and butter to form sticky clusters shaped into wreaths. Adorned with red and green mini M&Ms and optional green sprinkles, these festive cookies have a crunchy texture and sweet, buttery flavor without baking. They are simple to shape and decorate, making a fun seasonal treat.

Description

No Bake Christmas Wreath Cookies start by gently crushing corn flakes to smaller pieces for easier shaping. These are combined with melted butter and marshmallows colored green with food coloring to bind them together. The mixture is formed into small wreath-shaped rounds on parchment paper, using cooking spray to prevent sticking.

The cookies are decorated with red and green mini M&Ms and green sprinkles, adding festive color and a touch of extra sweetness. The final texture balances crunchy corn flakes with the soft, chewy marshmallow coating, and the butter adds richness.

These cookies are convenient holiday treats that require no baking and set up in about 15 minutes. They can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for several days, making them easy to prepare in advance or for sharing.

Keeping the marshmallow mixture warm and pliable during shaping helps when decorating. Variations in decorations or cereals can be used to customize the appearance and taste.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 10 oz marshmallows 35-40 marshmallows
  • 4 cups corn flakes
  • 6 tablespoons butter salted
  • 10 drops green food coloring
  • M&Ms mini; green and red
  • Sprinkles optional, green

Instructions

  1. Set aside a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Add 2 cups of corn flakes to a large bowl. With your hands, gently crush the corn flakes into smaller pieces. Add the other 2 cups of corn flakes and gently mix them all to combine.
  3. Melt the butter in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat and add the marshmallows. Stir to melt and add 10-15 drops of green food coloring and mix well to combine. Add more food coloring for a deeper green color.
  4. Once marshmallows are all well melted and combined, pour it all into the large bowl with the corn flakes. Mix well until all of the corn flakes are well combined.
  5. Spray a spoon or your hands with some cooking spray or oil and scoop out small palm-sized rounds of corn flakes and place them onto parchment paper. Add green sprinkles and green and red mini M&Ms. Repeat with all cornflakes.
  6. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before removing from parchment paper.
  7. Store in an airtight container for 3-4 days on the counter or up to 2 months in the freezer.

Notes

  • Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days; grease the container to prevent sticking and separate layers with parchment or wax paper.
  • Freeze the cookies for up to 2 months for extended storage.
  • Keep the marshmallow mixture warm and sticky during shaping by placing the bowl over hot water to aid decorating, especially when working alone.
  • Large or mini marshmallows both work well, and unsalted butter can be used with added salt to the marshmallows while melting.
  • Use any preferred corn flake variety, including bran flakes, and red hot candies or other seasonal decorations can substitute the M&Ms and sprinkles.
