No Bake Cookies

No Bake Cookies combine butter, milk, sugar, and cocoa powder heated together, then mixed with peanut butter and quick oats to create a chocolatey, chewy cookie without baking. The peanut butter adds richness, while the oats provide texture and substance. These cookies set on parchment paper and firm up at room temperature, making them convenient to prepare without oven use.

Description

No Bake Cookies begin by melting butter, milk, sugar, and unsweetened cocoa powder in a saucepan until fully combined and boiling briefly to cook the sugar. Peanut butter and vanilla extract are then stirred in until melted and incorporated. Quick oats are added last, ensuring each oat is coated with the chocolate-peanut butter mixture. The batter is spooned onto parchment paper and left to cool and set, resulting in a textured cookie with soft chewiness and a chocolate-peanut flavor balance.

The absence of baking makes these cookies a reliable treat to make quickly without heating up the kitchen. They are suitable for storing at room temperature in an airtight container, making them handy for snacks or easy sharing. The mixture sets firmly after about 20 to 30 minutes, providing bite-sized pieces that hold together well.

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 2/3 cup peanut butter
  • 3 cups quick oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
