No Bake Oatmeal Cookies
Description
These No Bake Oatmeal Cookies start with boiling a mixture of granulated sugar, milk, and butter, which is then mixed into a dry blend of oatmeal, unsweetened cocoa powder, and coconut flakes. After incorporating vanilla and salt, spoon the mixture into cookie shapes and chill until set. The cookies develop a moist, tender texture that holds together without baking.
The balance of chocolate and coconut offers a mild sweetness with a touch of texture variety from the flakes. The process of boiling the wet ingredients dissolves the sugar and helps bind the cookies as they cool.
Chilling them for at least an hour is necessary for the cookies to firm up properly. This no-bake method provides a simple way to enjoy chocolate oat treats without heating up the oven.
