No Bake Peanut Butter Bars with Pretzels
Description
This recipe layers crushed pretzels into a base mixed with melted butter, powdered sugar, and creamy peanut butter pressed into a pan to form a firm crust. The topping consists of semisweet chocolate chips melted together with remaining peanut butter to create a smooth chocolate peanut butter layer that spreads evenly over the base. Chilling in the refrigerator allows the bars to set, creating a firm, sliceable texture.
The balance of salty pretzel crunch with sweet and creamy chocolate peanut butter creates a rich and textured no-bake dessert. The method requires no oven use and minimal preparation beyond melting and mixing ingredients.
Once firm, the bars can be cut into bite-sized pieces suitable for serving as a snack or dessert. Their sturdy texture makes them portable and easy to share.
Notes advise on storage by wrapping or placing the bars in airtight containers to keep them fresh for up to 5 days refrigerated. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months and thawed in the fridge before eating.
