No Bake Peanut Butter Cereal Bars
Description
This recipe mixes two types of cereal—Cheerios and crisp rice cereal—with dry roasted peanuts and M&M's candies, creating varied textures and flavors. The sticky base is made by boiling light corn syrup with sugar, then stirring in creamy peanut butter and vanilla until smooth. This mixture is poured over the cereals and nuts and stirred to coat evenly.
After spreading the coated mixture into a prepared pan, the bars set as they cool at room temperature, eliminating the need for baking. The final product is a chewy, crunchy bar with a nutty, sweet flavor complemented by bursts of chocolate from the M&M's.
These bars suit on-the-go snacking or lunchboxes and do not require an oven, making them a practical option for quick preparation. Wrapping individual bars in parchment or plastic helps prevent sticking. Store at room temperature for several days or refrigerate for up to a week, allowing bars to soften slightly before serving.

- 4 cups Cheerios
- 4 cups rice cereal crisp
- 2 cups peanuts dry roasted
- 2 cups M&M's

Notes
- Wrap individual bars in parchment or plastic wrap to prevent sticking when stored.
