No Bake Peanut Butter Cheerio Bars
Description
No Bake Peanut Butter Cheerio Bars start by boiling a mixture of white sugar and light corn syrup, which is then combined with peanut butter and vanilla for a smooth, flavorful coating. This mixture is stirred into Cheerios and peanuts, binding the dry ingredients into clusters. The combined mixture is pressed into a pan and allowed to cool and set without any baking required.
The resulting bars are chewy and mildly crunchy from the peanuts and cereal, with a rich peanut butter flavor and a balanced sweetness that is not overwhelming. Their no-bake nature makes them a straightforward snack to prepare without needing an oven.
These bars store well at room temperature in an airtight container for several days or can be frozen individually for longer storage. Variations include adding chocolate chips, sprinkles, or candy pieces to customize the bars. Greasing the pan or lining it with parchment paper helps with easy removal and clean cutting.
