No Bake Peanut Butter Cookies

No Bake Peanut Butter Cookies combine sugar, butter, milk, peanut butter, and quick oats for a chewy treat that doesn’t require an oven. The cookies are topped with peanut butter candies that add a sweet crunch. These cookies set as they cool and make a convenient homemade snack or dessert.

Description

No Bake Peanut Butter Cookies consist of a sugar, butter, and milk mixture boiled for exactly one minute, then mixed with peanut butter and quick oats to form a thick dough. The process forgoes baking, relying on the setting of the mixture as it cools. Pressing coated peanut butter candies on top adds texture and extra peanut flavor.

The cookies have a chewy texture due to the quick oats and are sweetened by both the sugar mixture and candies topping. They are formed into dollops on parchment or silicone mats and cooled until firm enough to handle.

This recipe requires attention to boiling time to avoid a crumbly texture, and uses quick oats for the right consistency rather than regular rolled oats. The cookies store well at room temperature for up to three days.

  3. Drop 2 tablespoon sized dollops of the dough onto parchment paper, waxed paper or a silicon nonstick baking mat. Quickly press the candies onto the tops of the cookies.
