Description

This recipe creates bars with a crunchy, sweet texture provided by the Golden Grahams cereal coated in a smooth, melted chocolate mixture made by heating butter, light corn syrup, and chocolate chips together. Vanilla extract adds flavor depth, and mini marshmallows folded into the batter contribute the traditional s'mores softness and sweetness.

Once combined, the mixture is pressed firmly into a greased pan and cooled until firm. The bars can be cut and served cold or at room temperature as a convenient treat reminiscent of s'mores without the need for an open flame.

  • ¾ cup light corn syrup
  • 3 Tablespoons butter
  • 11.5 ounces milk chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 9 cups cereal Golden Graham brand
  • 12 ounces mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Spray a 9x13 inch pan with non-stick spray. Set aside.
  2. In a saucepan heat light corn syrup, butter and chocolate chips over medium-high heat until it is boiling, stirring constantly.
  3. When everything is completely melted remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Pour Golden Grahams into a large bowl and then pour in melted chocolate chip mixture over the top. Stir to completely cover cereal with chocolate sauce. Fold in marshmallows and press mixture in the prepared pan.
  5. Cool until set.
  6. Cut into bars and serve after they set. Store any leftovers in airtight container in refrigerator.
