No Boil Lasagna

No Boil Lasagna layers no-cook lasagna sheets with a tomato-based mixture enriched with spinach, turkey sausage, ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses. This assembly bakes into a hearty dish where the pasta softens in the sauce, combining rich dairy textures with savory sausage and spinach flavors. The recipe uses Italian seasoning and a multi-layered build for balanced taste and structure.

Description

No Boil Lasagna integrates no-cook lasagna sheets with a layered mixture of ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, spinach, cooked turkey sausage, and a well-seasoned tomato sauce. The ricotta mix includes beaten eggs and Parmesan for binding and creaminess, while Italian seasoning enhances the savory notes. The layering process involves alternating sauced noodles with meat, cheese, and vegetable components, pressing down gently to compact the layers.

During baking at 350°F, the pasta sheets absorb moisture from the sauce and cheeses, softening appropriately without pre-boiling. The mozzarella melts and browns slightly in a final uncovered bake stage, creating a cheese crust with added Italian seasoning on top. This lasagna combines meaty, cheesy, and herby elements with tender pasta for a balanced casserole suitable for a family meal or potluck.

A 60-minute covered bake followed by 5 minutes uncovered ensures thorough cooking and browning. Using no-boil sheets saves time and minimizes handling. Ingredients like spinach and turkey sausage provide added nutrition and flavor compared to traditional beef lasagna. Measuring cheese portions clearly guides the layering, and the recipe can be adapted with extra Parmesan if desired.
