No Churn Baileys Ice Cream
Description
No Churn Baileys Ice Cream blends heavy whipping cream, sweetened condensed milk, and Baileys Irish cream for a homemade ice cream that requires no churning. The heavy cream is whipped to stiff peaks, then gently folded with sweetened condensed milk, Baileys, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to retain a light, airy texture. Freezing the mixture at least 6 hours allows it to set while the alcohol in Baileys keeps it soft and scoopable. This approach offers a rich, creamy dessert option with a subtle boozy flavor profile, using minimal ingredients and avoiding the complexity of traditional ice cream makers.
The resulting ice cream balances the smooth sweetness of condensed milk and vanilla with the distinctive taste of Baileys. It’s practical for those seeking a straightforward way to make adult-flavored ice cream at home.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 9 ounces sweetened condensed milk a scant cup
- 3/4 cup Baileys Irish cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- salt pinch
Instructions
- Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in the sweetened condensed milk, Baileys, vanilla extract, and salt. Take care not to knock too much of the air out of the whipped cream, while still getting all of the ingredients evenly incorporated.
- Pour the mixture into a freezer safe container and freeze for at least 6 hours (or up to overnight) before serving. Note: the alcohol in the Baileys has a low freezing point and helps to keep this ice cream nice and scoop-able.
