Nutella Frosting
Description
This frosting starts by beating softened butter and Nutella until smooth and combined, establishing a base with creamy texture and chocolate-hazelnut flavor. Heavy cream and vanilla extract are mixed in to enhance moisture and flavor depth. Powdered sugar and unsweetened cocoa powder are gradually incorporated to add sweetness and dark chocolate notes while thickening the mixture.
Beating the frosting on high speed for a couple of minutes aerates it, giving the final product a light, fluffy texture that's easy to spread. Its balanced sweetness and mild cocoa complement a variety of baked goods, from simple cakes to elaborate desserts.
Yielding about two cups, this frosting holds its shape well and can also be adapted slightly by adjusting cocoa or sugar levels depending on taste.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup butter softened
