Nutella Latte Recipe
Description
To prepare this latte, Nutella is spread lightly on the coffee mug rim for a decorative, flavorful edge. Then 1 to 2 tablespoons of Nutella are placed in the mug and melted with hot espresso shots by whisking thoroughly. Steamed milk is poured slowly into this chocolatey base, creating a smooth and creamy texture. Cocoa powder is sprinkled on top to add a bold chocolate note. Finally, a drizzle of balsamic glaze along part of the rim introduces a slight tang that contrasts the sweetness.
This warm Nutella Latte can be served immediately and enjoyed as a comforting coffee-based treat with chocolate undertones. The added layers from the glaze and rim garnish make it distinct from a typical mocha.
Ingredients
- 1 to 2 tablespoons Nutella plus extra for the rim
- 1 to 2 espresso shots, hot
- 6 to 8 ounces milk steamed
- cocoa powder for sprinkling
- balsamic glaze for drizzling
Instructions
- Take a spoon and spread a thin layer of nutella on the rim of a coffee mug.
- Place 1 to 2 tablespoons of nutella (the more you use, the more chocolatey it will be!) in the bottom of the mug. Pour the hot espresso shots over top and whisk or stir with a spoon until the nutella melts. Slowly pour in steamed milk, then sprinkle cocoa powder on top. To finish it off, drizzle 1/4 to 1/2 of the rim with balsamic glaze. Serve immediately!
